I have been playing with dehydrating, just about anything that can be dehydrated. I’ve had success with dog treats and some vegetables and fruits. Also some canned goods, like collards greens and spinach. I get them from the food bank, just thought I’d try them. I add them to different meals I make, as in my Alfredo recipe and soups.

as for my canning, I’ve just been doing cold pack canning. Have not tried the pressure canning as of yet. I’ve read you can dry beans, since I have a lot, thought I’d try them. I’ll get you pictures soon. The corn I dried turned out fantastic, when you first open the jar, it smells just like buttered popcorn . I just dehydrated the corn alone nothing added. And when rehydrated tastes just as good as fresh or canned.

Who else likes the canning and dehydrating process? I’m not good with jellies and jams, they never set for me. So I just call the my syrups! Lol Any ideas? I welcome any and all ideas and recipes.
