Brothers are the best. I have twin brothers named Robert and Cody. Mom and I were actually pregnant at the same time and our due dates were only 3 days apart. In a sense they felt like my own children. I helped raise them along with my oldest son Justin. When they were babies I would be able to fit all 3 in a double stroller even when they were sleeping. When Robert and Cody were born, Robert was 3 lbs 15 oz and Cody was 3 lbs 5 oz. They were so tiny and looked identical even though they weren’t. They were fraternal twins.

My brothers were so much fun growing up. Now Robert is married to a wonderful woman and they have a brand new son named after his daddy. Unfortunately Cody won’t have that opportunity because we just passed the 2 year anniversary of his death. When they were little yo don’t think that they won’t outlive you. They are supposed to. That’s what parents expect and as his big sister I thought that too.

Brothers left to right: Robert and Cody

The picture with the cat is his Digit girl. He fell in love and named her digit because of her extra toes. The dog was his Chewbacca because he would talk like Chewbacca from Star Wars. The gray cat is Sin Sin. He’s such a love and when he was younger he would ride around on Cody’s shoulder like a parrot. Now as my brother is gone he’s my little buddy. Even sleeping on the arm of the couch beside me at night. Chewy is with him now but Digi girl and Sin Sin are of great comfort now that Cody is no longer with us. I miss him so much and wish every day that he was still with us however I will forever cherish the time I had.
