Where to start. We have 11 dogs, 9 cats, 1 bunny and 4 ducks. We didn’t just accumulate them all at once, it took years to do. My daughter started with 1 male Sam (short for sorry ass mutt) 😂 then came along Sugar. After which, they had puppies, she had 12. Out of that litter she kept 2, Pockets and Chancy. Two years later Pockets had a litter, to which Tanya kept 4. (Nuts I know) That gave her 8, if you’re keeping count. Their names are Dottie, Trouble, Peewee and Chloe. Dottie had a litter at 7 years old, one and only litter, she had 5. From the 5 we kept 3. They are Wolfe, Silver Star or Silver and CJ or Chewy. By this time Covid hit, Tanya was living with my husband and me. Dottie adopted me 2 years before, so she was living with me by that time anyway. I had my son’s dog chewy, short for Chewbacca, he talked just like Chewbacca on Star Wars. Around this time Tanya lost Sam, she was down to 7, with Dottie mostly with me. While she was living with us, we lost Chewy, he was nearing 20 years old. So this is how we became parents of 10 fur babies. Now the last one, is Buster Brown. A little schipperke mix. He came into her workplace one day, all by himself, cute and friendly. We checked with our veterinarian, no chip, Tanya took a picture and put on FB, Mat-su area. No one claimed him, animal shelter was closed because of Covid. After so long my husband loved him, since then, he has been chipped and is now ours. This is where we started with many, many animals. Bunny was free and needed a home ( rescued ), ducks were also free, I wanted fresh eggs, and they are yummy.😋. The 3 females are Muscovy and the male is Mallard. The kitties we adopted in stages too. Sinsin is our oldest, he was 20 years old this past spring. Loverboy is beautiful mostly white with extra front toes. After we all moved into Tanya’s house we ended up with the renters cat, Minnie Mouse. She ended up pregnant, she had 5 little ones. We kept all of them for a short time. Calico, Patches, Tigger, and Twotwo, Bear found a home in the mean time. As winter approached we were feeding a few other cats outside, some from the neighbors and a few strays. Neighbor cats went home for the colder days, not to be seen till summer. Two others stayed, BigBoy and Midnight, both almost black cats. In the beginning of moving into Tanya’s house, my son, her brother, Cody was sick and moved in with us. Along with him came Digi, a beautiful calico kitty with extra toes on all four feet. Since Cody’s passing, we kept Digi with us. So as you can see, we collect lost souls, free, and needy pets. In our future posts you will find many pictures of our wild bunch. Mostly with the dogs and kitties. I’ll show you the delicious duck eggs and the adults, and our cute bunny.
