Today as mom was driving me to work I saw a sight that never fails to move me. At Mat-Su Central Fire Station they not only had flags flying across the lawn but the Fire engines were out with lights flashing. Both the American flag and the Alaska flag aloft and waving in the air.

We all remember this day, it will never be forgotten. The tragedy that occurred will haunt many. Too many lives lost, hearts broken and scars that may never heal. Every year that goes by we, none of us, will ever forget the heroic actions and sacrifices of those that were on the frontline. The ones that have had to deal with the loss of people they loved in addition to the lives of those they were fighting to save.
We, throughout the world now help those survivors across the globe to over come and come together as a country who will not back down in times of need. We as a nation pray as time goes by, for our families and each other. As a family who had all our boys in the military and one still a marine, we pray for them and love them all across the United States.

Therefore take a moment today and every day to pray for what you have now. Be grateful for the loved ones you have while holding them close. Tell someone that you value them. Tell your friends, family, random strangers even that the world is a better place with them in it. Don’t go to bed angry, kiss your children and tell them you love them. Always remember how blessed each and every one of us really are.

Remember

We never forget and never quit.
